**Day 4:** Exploring the Hidden Kingdom
The magnificent Upper Mustang journey marked a truly unique geographical and cultural exploration. Leaving **Jomsom**, our convoy set off on the challenging, yet breathtaking, road toward the ancient capital of **Lomanthang**.
The transition in landscape was dramatic: from the barren riverbeds of the Kali Gandaki to the vivid ochre and red cliffs characteristic of Mustang. This segment was a valuable lesson in **trans-Himalayan ecology and high-altitude adaptation**, providing students with firsthand experience of Nepal's diverse geography.
The final goal of the day was the **Korala Border**, the last northern outpost before Tibet (China). This journey emphasized **historical trade routes, resilience, and the power of observation**, proving to be an unforgettable lesson outside the classroom.
